PRAYER POINTS FOR THE MONTH OF AUGUST:- Though garbage dumps are the worst possible environment for people to live and work, they are the only source of income for many of the poorest of the poor in Phnom Penh who daily dig for recyclables to sell. The Cambodian government plans to move one of the largest city dumps which will make it difficult for many to make a living. Pray that God will give ASAP wisdom to know how to help the mothers of the children who attend the Feed & Read School closest to this dump in Phnom Penh.
- ASAP strongly believes in providing training for our national workers so they are well grounded in their faith. Pray for the Lord to provide financially and guide in the training of ASAP missionaries in Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar and also the ethnic tribal people groups.
- The wives of the Southeast Asian pastors and church leaders play a very important role in God’s work. Pray that they will work alongside their husbands in a supportive partnership and accomplish much for Christ through their areas of expertise, such as prayer, women and children’s ministries.
- Elder Bill Townend has been serving as the president of the Southeast Asia Union Mission. Pray for him as he prepares to retire in October. Pray also for the Lord to direct in the choice of a new president for SAUM to take his place.
