BASIC JOB DESCRIPTION

I oversee ASAP's operations, empower a thriving team to perform at their best under the influence of the Holy Spirit, and form strategies for the future to uphold the mission of our past. I work with major donors to share the privilege of service and promote the spread of the gospel in Southeast Asia. I work closely with the field and local leadership in our five target countries: Thailand, Cambodia, Myanmar, Laos, and Vietnam.

SCHOOLING

For college, I attended Weimar College and Southern Adventist University. Later, for graduate school, I attended Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania. My education focus has been Biology, Physical Therapy, Religion and Teacher training.

HOW YOU WERE ORIGINALLY CONNECTED TO ASAP

I have always been interested in missions, and many years ago my family went on a mission trip with ASAP to Southeast Asia where we saw the great need to introduce the people there to Christianity. Later, I was asked to serve on the ASAP board and volunteered in that capacity for several years. This increasing involvement then blossomed into full-time work at ASAP.

WHEN YOU STARTED WORKING WITH ASAP

I started working at ASAP in January 2023 as International Field Director. In May 2024, the board of directors invited me to serve as President.

FAVORITE ASAP PROJECT

My favorite ASAP projects are the schools and education projects. Education is one of the most effective ways to fulfill ASAP’s goal of helping the marginalized to become missionaries. I also enjoy empowering and training our church planters to be the most effective as possible in sharing the good news about Jesus with those around them.

WHAT YOU LIKE TO DO OUTSIDE OF WORK

I enjoy home gardening and specifically Dahlia flower gardening.

YOUR FAVORITE BIBLE TEXT

I love Philippians 1:6, “Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”
