Recently, two villages in southeastern Myanmar became a battlefield as fighting erupted between government soldiers and insurgent forces in the area. As their homes burned and their crops were destroyed, the villagers ran for their lives, seeking safety in the jungle. Facing the imminent rainy season without shelter, food, or access to medical care, local Adventist mission leaders appealed for help. Thanks to the generosity of ASAP donors, 90 families received urgently needed food, medicine, mosquito nets, and other basic necessities. As the great controversy battle between God and Satan nears its climax, the winds of strife are beginning to blow harder in many of the places where ASAP serves. War, persecution, and natural disasters are on the rise.
