Teach Refugees in Thailand About Jesus
Life can be harsh for refugee children in Thailand. Many of them live in overcrowded and unhealthy conditions, with limited access to education. Karen Adventist Academy is a K-12 school in the Mae Ra Moo Refugee Camp that attempts to meet that need and prepares students for service. More than 900 students attend here, having fled fighting in Myanmar (Burma). It takes nearly $40,000 to operate Karen Adventist Academy for one year. $3 to provide a student with school supplies for one year ($2,766 total needed) $85 per month stipend per teacher $300 to provide food, toiletries, and other supplies for a dormitory student for one year ($6,000 total needed)
